Metadata

Beginning in 1996, WyGISC (formerly SDVC) began to create metadata for the many GIS datasets that had been developed by different University of Wyoming research and application projects. Since then, WyGISC has continued to have a vested interest in development of metadata and helping other GIS data producers and users become familiar with the benefits and uses of metadata.
