Pathfinder ProXRS GPS Receiver

Trimble's GPS Pathfinder® ProXRS is a 12-channel GIS mapping system that combines a high-performance GPS receiver and antenna with a MSK beacon differential correction receiver for real-time mapping and navigating capability. With the GPS Pathfinder ProXRS, operators can gather sub-meter GPS data using real-time or post-processing differential correction (depending on the availability of a base station, radio beacon, or NAVSTAR satellite service). The ProXRS features a hand-held data collector running Trimble's powerful Asset Surveyor® data collection software.

The GPS Pathfinder® ProXRS also features Trimble's advanced Everest™ technology, which eliminates positional error due to multipath signals. Multipath signals - typically reflected off of walls, water, vehicles, and other surfaces - can make it difficult to determine accurate positions. Everest uses a patented technique to remove these multipath signals before the measurements are used to calculate a final position.

GeoExplorer 3

Trimble's GeoExplorer® 3 is the smallest, lightest GPS mapping tool available - researchers can easily carry and operate the pocket-sized product with one hand. As part of the GPS Pathfinder® series, the GeoExplorer 3 provides the reliable, accurate GPS positioning found only in Trimble GPS mapping systems. Trimble's GPS Pathfinder® Office Software, which comes bundled with the system, aids in data dictionary creation, data processing and GIS data export and import.

The GeoExplorer 3 system allows the user to accomplish more in the field. When coupled with Trimble's Beacon-on-a-Belt (BoB™) differential receiver, the GeoExplorer 3 system enables the user to effectively relocate existing features for data update by using the graphical navigation and map displays. The GeoExplorer 3 can also be used with post-processing differential GPS.

The GeoExplorer 3 tracks up to twelve satellites and provides 2-5 meter accuracy after differential correction. Submeter accuracy can be achieved by recording carrier phase data and using advanced processing software.

GeoExplorer XT

Trimble® GeoXT™ handheld, from the GeoExplorer® series, combines submeter GPS with Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 2003 software for Pocket PCs in one rugged unit. The synergy between GPS and Windows Mobile software lets you concentrate on what's important: collecting and maintaining high-quality data for your GIS. Plus there's integrated Bluetooth®* for wireless connectivity to other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as a Trimble GeoBeacon™ receiver for real-time corrections, and a cell phone for connection to the Internet.

The GeoXT runs multiple applications and has a familiar user interface—all the advantages you've come to expect from a GeoExplorer series handheld. In the field, the high-performance GPS receiver gives you the best accuracy possible. For reliable navigation back to assets, use it with SBAS corrections, or use Bluetooth to connect to a GeoBeacon receiver. To get the most precise data for your GIS, use TerraSync, Trimble GPScorrect™ extension for ESRI ArcPad software, or a GPS Pathfinder® Tools application to collect SSF data files, and postprocess using GPS Pathfinder Office software or the Trimble GPS Analyst™ extension for ESRI ArcGIS software.

Pathfinder Office Software

Built on the solid foundation established by PFINDERtm, Pathfinder Officetm software is the next generation of GPS data processing software. It helps you in every phase of your work, from planning to differential correction, data export, and map generation. Pathfinder Office software is Microsoft Windowstm-based and is designed for ease-of-use and high productivity. With the Batch Processor you can automate your workflow - download data, differentially correct, and export it to a GIS in a single step. The Data Dictionary Editor allows you to create custom menus for uploading to your data collector. For high accuracy applications, a carrier phase processing module is included with Pathfinder Office software.

Pathfinder Office software makes exporting GPS data to your GIS a simple process. Parameters for exporting data can be set up in the system and saved for use on future projects. Pathfinder Office will export files to most GIS and CAD systems including ARC/INFO, AutoCAD, Intergraph MGE, MapInfo, GRASS and MOSS.
